PayNorthwest Supports RAVE Foundation’s One Ball Program

PayNorthwest Supports RAVE Foundation’s One Ball Program

Supporting our community amidst a year of change

Long before 2020 took a turn down Covid Lane, PayNorthwest committed to partner with and support the RAVE Foundation’s One Ball Program which seeks to distribute 100,000 high-quality soccer balls to children in under-served communities by 2026. By giving each child a soccer ball of their own, the One Ball Program levels the playing field and creates more inclusive communities, empowering all children to be active and healthy.

Like so much else in 2020, plans had to change, people had to adapt, but the work had to continue. We are proud and impressed that RAVE’s work continued through the pandemic. Partnering with Food Lifeline, Rave included soccer balls for 250 families when they picked up fresh groceries at CenturyLink (now Lumen) Field.

We at PayNorthwest are so pleased to have supported this wonderful effort, in the face of so many challenges, with our financial support. Nothing happened the way anyone envisioned it happening in 2020, but the important thing is that kids in need of a bright spot and some sort of joy under stressful times, got something positive they could call their own. Kudos to RAVE, Food Lifeline, and PayNorthwest staff who made this happen.

RAVE Foundation is the official charitable arm of the Seattle Sounders FC. Watch this to learn more about their vision that every kid deserves a place to play.
