FFCRA Leave and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

The American Rescue Plan Act extended the voluntary offering of FFCRA leave from March 31st, 2021 until September 30, 2021 and made the following changes to leave categories:

• FFCRA Sick Leave: Reset the balance as of April 1, 2021
• FFCRA Family Leave 10 Days: No changes beyond the extension
• FFCRA FMLA Leave 10 Weeks: Increased the maximum amount of accumulated leave from $10,000 to $12,000.

UPDATE: Employers are no longer required to comply with the requirements as of October 1st, 2021.
